Help HOLY TRINITY ORTHODOX CHURCH in Oxnard

Post by Priest Siluan »

Help us fight for our FREEDOM!
HOLY TRINITY EASTERN ORTHODOX CHURCH, IN OXNARD, CALIFORNIA,
IS MAKING A HEROIC STAND AGAINST THE JURISDICTION
OF THE MOSCOW PATRIARCHATE (MP)

We have solid reasons for defending our independence:

1.Our Church was built with our personal funds, on our private property, and with our own labor.

  1. The ownership of our Church was legally recorded as a private non-profit corporation, independent of, and unrelated to, the Synod of Bishops (Synod) of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad (ROCA).

3.The majority of our parishioners are members of this corporation and have unanimously voted at a legally binding corporate meeting to refrain from joining the Moscow Patriarchate.

4.All services and the spiritual guidance of our Church are now administered by the American Exarchate of the Orthodox Church of Greece, Synod in Resistance, and its clergy in this country.

5.The ruling Hierarch of the Western Diocese of the ROCA (Archbishop Kyrill) has filed a lawsuit against the Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Church and a number of the directors of its corporation (as well as a two-million-dollar suit against the Exarch of the Synod in Resistance in this country) to gain possession of the Church, its property, and its land. Archbishop Kyrill is asking the Court to sign over the property to the Synod (ROCA). Beware! They will do this to all of you, as well.

6.The actions of the ROCA in trying to confiscate a small Church, whose members simply want to exercise their Constitutional right to choose, shows what is most important to the ROCA, now that it is under Moscow: property and vindictive lawsuits, not the saving of souls!

  1. For justice to prevail, we must mobilize all of our efforts. We are paving the road for other parishes to establish their independence. The forces are not equal, but truth and justice are on our side, and with your financial support, we all have a chance!

Please help us to save our Church and our right to choose!
We wish to remain MP-FREE!

Why should we donate money to heretics?

This parish has been received by the heretical "Synod in Resistance" -- a.k.a. Cyprianites.

Surely our money would be better donated elsewhere.

I agree with you. Sadly they have left with the Kyprianites, but they have left for not joining with the MP (which would be been much worse in my opinion). Also, it is just could have a certain affective meaning for the Orthodox faithful in South America and also other countries, because there was where Bishop Alexandre (Mileant) served until his repose.

The jurisdictional BS of this website is starting to really miff me off. People are in need of help and we sit here in judgment over them? Disgusting. Have we totally forgotten mercy and love? (Rhetorical question, apparently we have.) Have we forgotten that Christ came to save sinners, and that none is witout sin? (Again rhetorical, the answer is yes.)

I am on my last nerve with this forum.

No offense intended, but in my view Alexander Mileant of sorrowful memory was never a bishop of the Catholic Church of Christ.

He was consecrated by bishops in heresy, and the fruit of that unlawful consecration manifested itself in his blasphemous and cacodox confession of the heresy of Evolution.

I'm not aware of what a supposed bishop of Buenos Aires and South America has to do with the parish in Oxnard, CA, but perhaps the connection would explain the lack of discernment in this parish, with regards to why they sought refuge with the Kyprianites.

Clearly something is gravely amiss down there in Oxnard, and I wouldn't send them one cent until they can at least muster a basic Orthodox confession, and find a truly Orthodox shepherd to lead them.

This rubs me the wrong way.
