What really gained my attention is Fr. Victor's following comment:

Fr Victor Dobroff: Indeed there was. There was a consensus that Laurus and his Bishops should all be deposed by us. But we decided that since Laurus and his cohorts are now with the MP, and thus no longer a part of the Church, they simply do not exist. So why waste paper and ink for deposing men who are already outside of the Church?

I just felt that his expression here was quite crude and lacking in spiritual concern for the grave situation. It's not politics, afterall. It's the Church!

So do we have the official itinerary of Vl. Agafangel here? Has the jurisdiction assignments and agreements to make more bishops been posted on their website?

Seems like Br. Nathaniel(in prelest) has the deep scoop.

In general, the whole article gave me a negative impression; especially since it's Kapner that is in control of it.

I was going to say the same thing. There are many Orthodox people in NYC, and I don't consider that phrase to be much more than what is called in the law "boilerplate."

Shall we attack Homer because of his repeated use of the phrase "Rosy fingered dawn" based on the fact that not all dawns contained rosy hues or enough rosy hues?

Bp Agafangel needs support right now - not bickering or nitpicking. It is far too early to judge him.

You ask a fair question which I will not be able to answer until I have read what he actually wrote, in Russian, and its context, before I reply.

The translation sounds clumsy and thus I do not trust it.

May I ask, dear Father, if you would rather have us go to the MP than follow Bp Agafangel? Would that be a preferable choice?

This is not a hypothetical question. Many of us are troubled and searching and questioning.
