Отвечая на вопрос журналистов в Курске, первоиерарх РПЦЗ сказал, что самым сложным препятствием при подготовке к подписанию Акта о каноническом общении Русской Православной Церкви и Русской Православной Церкви За границей (РПЦЗ) было противодействие старой русской эмиграции, сообщает ИТАР-ТАСС. "Препятствовала старая эмиграция, к которой я не отношусь, - сказал митрополит Лавр. - У ее представителей очень распространено настроение недоверия к советской власти, и тому, что с ней было связано. Трудно было переубедить их в психологическом плане".

ITAR-TASS reports that in answering questions from reporters in Kursk, the ROCA Hierarch (Lavr) said that the most difficult obstacle to preparing for the signing of the Act of Canonical Communion between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad (ROCA) was the opposition of the old, Russian émigrés. “The old émigrés, to whom I do not belong, were opposed,” said Met. Lavr. “Their leaders all share a feeling of distrust to the Soviet regime, and all that was involved with it. It was hard to convince them psychologically.”

Tell us who you are. Are you ROCOR or what?
If you are not ROCOR, what is you gripe??

I heard A LOT of BS from different priests at the meeting in NJ in 05. How many priests/parishes have left ROCOR??? Just as I thought... It was all grandstanding.. "look and listen at me; I know more than my bishop!!"

If a priest/parish thought that this blessed reunification was bad/evil/not good/whatever, they would align themselves with some other juristicition. And, good for them; I have more respect for someone who stands by their convictions. Leave and don't look back
As for those who stood up and spouted their stupid, inane, and moronic objections only to realise they were unfounded; I will gladly accept their apologies.
It is over; done; finished.
I'm just waiting for all the bad that was promised me to come...

So, you didn't really mean what you said, no??!! Like I said, I have respect for those that have left before the re-unification with the MP and those that left at the moment it happened than those who opposed the re-unification and have been emasculated and decided to stay with ROCOR.

Grow some b...s and make a statement!!! This forum won't permit me to use the adjectives that are necessary to describe the "antis"...

We'll meet again, and I will make sure to question your position...

I am not ROCOR. In time you will see the evil of the MP. So long as you support them you remain in heresy.

I generally don't like to carry on talking to people who slander the Church by saying those who resist stupid and insane.

Seems all you can post is something you have cut/pasted from some other site. If you're not ROCOR, what are you??? And what dog do you have in this fight??

When I "...see the evil of the MP..." I'll let you know.

BTW, if there is no evil, and I never see it, what will your responce be???
I'm sure you have an answer; I'm sure you know more than our bishops... Surely; after everything you've read on the internet ...

the more I read your posts, the more I realise you are FOS; big time.
If you're not ROCOR or MP, not only do we not care what your opinions are, we d..n sure don't need your advice.

...and it seems that the more one reads your posts scwaterfowl, one can see that you have neither an Orthodox outlook not an Orthodox heart. Banter, assault, insult, and throw your anger around if you so choose but by your words people see what truly is on your heart.

I am sorry, I just can no longer idly sit by and watch you spout your anger at someone I consider a friend. You have started a new fight it seems ,a fight with drewmiester, and this is a fight wherein I do have a "dog in this fight" and this "dog" happens to be a friend.

I could care less your position or your ideas. I just ask that you stop being so hateful in sharing them with others. That's just not right.
