Reading the earlier postings, I came upon this one. This is a wonderful idea and I would like to thank the administrator of the site. I chose St. Elizabeth fror a number of reasons: I have a small icon just like the one available here by my bed; secondly, I do ask St. Elizabeth to intercede for me and she always has answered my prayers. I must say she is my favorite Saint. I also read her biography which was published a few years ago and that I recommend.
St. Elizabeth, pray for us.
Denis: is St Elizabeth's story available online? I've been wanting to read about her, I have the exact same icon in our room as well 
I have a younger cousin named Elizabeth so I thought it'd be fitting to have one of her, plus I really love the icon of her.
Lounger: I agree with what you said... also it helps me to remember that Saints are all around us and that God is right here with us. It helps me to not say something I'll regret later... I just think "How would I feel if they were sitting right beside me physically and reading what I was typing... would I want them to read it or would I be embarrased?"
Nicholas: I'd love an icon of my patron Saint, St Mary of Egypt I'd also love it if we could have a photo gallery like I've seen on other forums. I love looking at pictures that other people share. Do you think that's possible Nick?

Hi Mary,
Some information is available at Father Serfes site under the rubric pertaining to the Holy Martyrs. The biography may now be out-of-print (I got mine about 3 years ago at a discount site here in Toronto), however, you should look at the amazon.com site where they may have second-hand copies available. I also remember that Westminster Abbey had a few notes on the subject for the unveiling of the statue.
