Popes name in the Diptychs

Post by Frank »

I know I'm probably going to start a fight with this one, so I apologize beforehand.

Someone recently told me that the Popes name is commemorated in the Diptychs by the Bishops of the Phanar. I am aware that it was added to the Diptychs back in the 1960s for a little while, but I was under the notion that it had long since been taken out.

Does anyone know if this is true and is there any evidence besides I know this guy, who knows a guy, type of hearsay?

Thank you.

Frank, somewhere here we have articles where I believe EP Athenagoras tells the world he added the Pope to the Diptychs, it may take me a while, but I will try to find it for you.
