Questions about MP

Post by Priest Siluan »

From Paradosis:

Dear List,

Below is a series of questions asked by our friend A. de Bonnefoi on
another forum (orthodoxierusseoccident@yahoogroupes.fr), as a
reaction to the remark that the USSR does not exist any more.

In Christ,

Vladimir Kozyreff

  • Why does Alexis II congratulate Castro, this anti-Christian
persecutor, and does he so in such Soviet terms?

  • Why is his appointment to the present see of the Patriarchy
the result of his nomination by the Soviet authorities?

  • Why were his precursors in the same case?

  • Why did the synods of this Patriarchy wait for the blessing
of the Soviet power before they took office?

  • Why did the MP follow the injunctions of the Party to be a
Ecumenical member of the WCC (while it had declared its opposition
to ecumenism), why is it that 15 years after the " fall of USSR " it
    is always part of it?

  • Why were all the MP hierarchs high members of the
nomenklatura, enjoying the same royal prerogatives as their
colleagues of the Central Committee as well as the same material
    privileges?

  • Why is it that those who usurped the MP see following the
orders of Lenin and Stalin announce their repentance but keep the
    object of their robbery?

  • Why did Alexis II and his bishops wait so long time before
    they glorified the Imperial Martyrs?

  • Why did they mention favourable or disadvantageous
    circumstances for doing so?

  • Why entrust the spiritual guidance of our souls to an
ecclesial institution so compromised by so many years of faithful
    collaboration with the Soviet persecutor?

  • Why do Lenin streets and monuments still proliferate in
    Russia?

  • Why did the bosses of the present Soviet KGB (FSB in Russia,
SBU in Ukraine, KGB in Byelorussia) meet in Minsk two years ago to
regret the blessed time of USSR?

  • Why did they decide to rehabilitate the founder of the
    Tcheka?

  • Why did the Russian, Ukrainian and Byelorussian presidents
allow this to happen, if they did not approve it?

  • Why this impressive number of faithful in the three Slavonic
post Soviet States who, while participating in religious services,
never commune in the MP parishes, if not out of instinctive mistrust
    for the MP clergy?
    ...

  • Why is the Putinian national hymn sung on the melody of the
    Soviet hymn?

  • Why did we still not see any Russian equivalent of the
    Nuremberg trial?

  • Why was the ROCOR synod infiltrated for 15 years first by an
East German bishop who immediately when he got the status of
political refugee to the West returned to Moscow, with the known
    consequences?

  • Why was Metropolitan Vitaly (Memory eternal!) the victim of
    two kidnapping attempts?

  • Why did Vladimir Putin in person visit Jordanville and New
York to "relay a message of reconciliation " of Alexis II to the pro-
    unia with Moscow hierarchs?

  • Why did Eltsin open the archives of the KGB concerning the
Patriarchy of Moscow to Alexis II and since, did nothing happen?

  • Why mix up the Russian Church (the faithful believers) and
    the MP hierarchy?

  • Why mix up the martyrs and confessors, catacombniks and
    their persecutors?

  • Why does Alexis II not retire in monastic quietness, if he
    indeed repents?
    ...

  • Why not see the work of the Separating one there, acting at
    all organisational levels?
    ...

  • Why, excuse me, so much naivety?

  • Why not feel our debt to the address of our martyred and
    persecuted ancestors?

  • Why forget their testimony?
