Theological dialogue between Catholic and Orthodox Churches resumes in Belgrade

Moscow, September 18, Interfax - The theological commission for dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and Local Orthodox Churches resumes its work today in Belgrade.

As the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations has informed Interfax, the meeting will focus on the primacy of the pope and the Greek Catholics.

The Moscow Patriarchate will be represented by Bishop Hilarion of Vienna and Austria, Russian Orthodox Church representative at European organizations, and Rev. Igor Vyzhanov, DECR secretary for inter-Christian relations.

The joint commission responsible for settlement of theological issues was set up in the 1980s. Its work was interrupted in 2000 after the meeting in Baltimore, USA, which failed to resolve the problem of the Uniates.

Several years ago, the Pope of Rome and Patriarch Bartholomew signed a joint statement fixing up the intention to resume the interrupted dialogue.

Yes, we have to discuss with them to tell them the Truth. However, I disagree with Orthodox attending the catholic mass and vice versa...

The "new Florence is near"?!

Are you kidding? Are things that bad that people cannot even see that the new Florence has been around for a long, long time; it is just now a matter of how to completly boil all of the "frogs" in such a way that they won't notice, over the course of several decades, all of those things that have been enacted according to the new Florence. This is the only thing left, and it is well under way.

When the Patriarch of just one local Church returned from signing "the Balamand agreement" of their day, at the original Florence, it was not just St. Mark, but all of the masses at home who stood up and denounced and condemned the act. Where are these people today when the "bishops" declare over and over and over that the Latins and even the Protestants have the Mysteries of the Church? They are nowhere to be found. All we hear are their loud wails denouncing anyone who does indeed stand up.
