I know Father what you mean, i am slapped in the face with the same problem everyday, although my family isnt from Mexico entirely ,they did migrate from sicily and spain, nevertheless Im as mexican as they come.
But im still left the the question of" what do I tell my family" to just stay in the Latin church that they have lost faith and trust in, or do i tell them to go to the Oca or new calendar Greeks, antiochian,or ukrainian
Churchs? all of which are in Mexico and Texas... is there any missionary
Old Calendar jurisdiction Priests that would be interested in going to Texas or mexico to do missionary work? if so please have them contact me personally- and for all of you that have had to endure my post, forgive me me if I seemed focused only on my race, I love and pray for you all, my new and True family in CHRISt -the Orthodox Christian...

Dear Spiridon, theres is a Matthewite mission in South Texas according to the map at http://EuphrosynosCafe.com/map/

It is a Reader's Mission but I understand that sometimes a priest travels there.

I understand and I wait that soon someone missionary OC can have over there, the problem in TOC is that some are quite poor as to be able to finance us, I hope it is not lack of will (on my behalf there is not it)

Another problem is that the laws in Mexico could not be very "free" for the TOCs or the ecumenist opponents (with his RC Allies) could pursue the TOCs. I knew about some JP anti-ecumenist monks who were enough pursued there.

Spiridon,

I find the faith of the Mexicans so beautiful. They are so reverent and so faithful. Do you think that they would be opposed to hearing the teachings of the holy fathers? If you can do something like that, than it would be a great burden but also a great blessing. They are really, truely faithful people.

Joanna

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

I just updated the map and there is a new church in San Angelos, TX with a priest who has daily services and speaks English and Spanish alike. This may be exactly what you are looking for?

I am going to split off this part of the thread away from the MP and OCA venerating Our Lady of Guadalupe thread at http://EuphrosynosCafe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6939

The priest has not currently been received, but the parish still may be.

Please see http://EuphrosynosCafe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=37199 for current news on this situation.
