Thanks, I marked down some of those companies, and will be sure to buy more of their products now, as a pat on the back for their tolerance and compassion.

Well, Justin, perhaps you might like to think about the evidence of tolerance, etc., being shown or rather not shown by homosexual activists in their quest to undertake a major social engineering exercise.
Here in good old, good fearing Tony Blair land, a new legislative instrument called the Sexual Orientation Regulations 2006 have landed on our laps. Now if you are for example a Christian couple offering say bed and breakfast in your own home and a homosexual couple want to book a double room, you cannot refuse - even if you refuse to accept bookings from unmarried couples. If you hire out your church hall, and someone wants to book it for a party to celebrate their (homosexual) civil partnership, you may not lawfully refuse the booking.
That in complying with the law you are demonstrably not complying with Church teaching is NOT a lawful defence.
And the same Government which pays for an iman who praises suicide bombers to travel to a conference abroad at the taxpayers expense has no problem with this, regardless of the offence it causes, or as Amanda Platell in her column in today's Daily Mail, writes:
The Government doesn't think twice about offending Christian beliefs, but spends millions accomodating the views of minority extremists.
Now a group representing thousands of black British Christians has complained that the "Labour Government is discriminating against Christians in order to appease minority groups'. The groups claims the new Sexual Orientation Regulations will force it 'promote views which have been at the centre of protecting and promoting British families, schools and communities for centuries'.
It's a strange world, isn't it, where only a minority black Christian group can articulate what many white Christians feel but are unable to say for fear of being branded small-minded begots.

The black Christian group are clear that they oppose homophic behaviour, etc. This is clearly different from 'rap' groups defended by members of the same political elite when complaints are made about their hate filled lyrics focusing on violence, guns and intolerance on the grounds that this lyrics merely reflect the grim reality of black peoples' experience.
I do not think this is at all about tolerance and compassion, but about a world frightening similar to that predicted in George Orwell's phophetic novel, 1984. Even with a whole new set of terminology or Newspeak.
On the question of boycott's I am not keen because there are so many things which might make one want to 'withhold one's custom', and as already indicated one could easily find you could not buy whole ranges of goods and services were you to even try to follow such action through.
