I think saying "The Jews" = "The State of Israel" is bad thinking, just like when when Lebanese citizens kidnap an Israeli soldier it is not Lebanon doing this, nor Iran or Syria because they donate to Hezbollah. That kind of thinking leads to Israel doing things in retaliation like blowing up a civilian airport and roads and bridges which goes too far.

That was my point, Father.
The Israeli's seem to forget their own terrorist past, even if others do not, nor the fact that their armed forces wantonly murder innocents - as one recent British coroner's court has declared. Israel like a householder or citizen has the right to defend itself, indeed the duty to, but not to use as it has done and is doing in Gaza and Lebanon presently.
The actions of the Israeli government and the IDF are probably driving the whole of Lebanon into the embrace of Hezbollah, and the innocents are both sides bear the unbearable cost.
I might hate the effect of a particular country's foreign policy or military adventures but I do not transpose that on to all of its' inhabitants or those who share its' majority faith. A nonsense and a dangerous one, surely, in a world too easily triggered into intercommunal violence and hatred.
