To ask that a misleading thread title is corrected is neither pro or anti anything, but simply seeking accuracy and an avoidance of an inflammatory heading in this particular case.

I suspect that the original poster is unable to discern that his postings are simply an expression of personal opinion and nothing more.

The Title is not wrong, the reason you say-think "It might offend people", is because after WW2 the world has been told not to say anything about jews, threw our school systems, for example if I had wrote " Russian Army Shells Chechen Family" you would'nt have asked me to change the title.

Perhaps not, but if you say "Orthodox Army Shells Chechen Family" the example would be more appropriate and therefore also be in need of change.

The title IDF shells......... or Russian army shells....... are parallels. They would precisely describle who did what, to whom. The original title did not. But the author apparently cannot and will not see what is blantantly obvious to everyone save himself. Instead he prefers to see only that the imagines might be there, then makes a leap and says, not suggests, the commentator is not writing in an (Christian) Orthodox manner.

Father Mark's observation sums it up precisely.

Might I suggest that the author be left to his conspiracy theories, and pray that God may be merciful, to him and to us.

For myself I must confess to feeling somewhat frustrated with this 'much ado about nothing'.

The Modernist way of thinking has made it "high treason" to say anything Anti Israel or contrary to Judaism.

By this way of reasoning, many of the holy fathers would have been labeled Anti-Semitic......

Oh, I am no supporter of Israel, but the title was changed to that. Before it was incorrect in saying that "The Jews Shell Picnic, ... ". Just like if an Orthodox Christian in the US Army did the same, it would be wrong to say, "The Orthodox Shell Picnic, ... " and would be changed to correct it as "U.S. Army Shells Picnic ... ".

There was nothing incorrect about the Original title except for politics......
Israel and Jews are synonymous terms in the modern sense......

I have numerous Palestinian Friends, none of whom refers to themselves as Israeli.....none.... Though they were all born in the country that Baptists call Israel...............
