Maybe God told them to. Maybe they were descendants of the Cannanites.

I object to the thread's title, Jews kill.........etc
The allegation, which may be true is that the family were killed by an artillery shell fired by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). Given the IDF's history of remarkable indifference to the killing of even observers and their history of denial and obscurfation I can believe a shell fired by them was responsible.
But such an inflammatory and inaccurate statement is unworthy surely on an Orthodox Christian website?

Agreed. It was Israel, and that may mean that it was Jews that did it, but their actions were surely not approved of by all Jews. Obviously the thing was a misfire of some sort as Israel is not that stupid to do such a thing on purpose I would think.
Because of that I will be changing the title to a more accurate description.
True, the Church Fathers say that the Temple rebuilt in Jerusalem will be the head of the church of the Anti-Christ, so perhaps we should watch Israel, but this was a mistake.

What you're saying, is not of the Orthodox Church, get that worldly thinking out of your mind.

You allege that my response to the title of this thread is not consistent with the teaching of the Orthodox Church? (And this in sharp contrast to Father Nikolai's response). Perhaps you might care to enlighten me?
My approach on this is taken from among other things the teachings of Metropolitan Antony of Kiev and Galicia (born 1863, died 1936 in Serbia) in his defence of the Jews facing pogroms by unchurched Russian and Ukrainian bigots. So I puzzled to learn that my intervention appears to you to indicate a worldly view?

The Pogroms were justified, if they were not The Church and Saints would have spoken against them in a "Official" way, this is just thier (Father Nikolai / Metropolitan Antony of Kiev) personol opinion.
