GOA adds Masonic holiday to Church Calendar

Post by 尼古拉前执事 »

I got the following from the Indiana List:

Encyclical of Archbishop Demetrios for AHEPA Sunday May 21, 2006 AHEPA
Sunday

To the Most Reverend Hierarchs, the Reverend Priests and Deacons, the Monks
and Nuns, the Presidents and Members of the Parish Councils of the Greek
Orthodox Communities, the Day, Afternoon, and Church Schools, the
Philoptochos Sisterhoods, the Youth, the Hellenic Organizations, and the
entire Greek Orthodox Family in America....It is with this appreciation for
AHEPA and for the commitment of its members to our heritage and faith that
we as an Archdiocese designate May 21, 2006, as AHEPA Sunday.

AHEPA is a Masonic body of Greeks, this stinks. We should have Sunday of
Orthodoxy, not sunday of AHEPA...
