just curious what people are using for morning and evening prayers..I have used the jordanville(pretty Good),. and the new one from HTM Boston(which has the Small compline for evening ,but a short set for morning),
and then the old Believers(which i really love alot, and uses the Psalter translation from HTM-Boston)...
What Prayer Book do you use? or do you do your own prayers?

If I was to be caught in a major disaster i would hope i had my Old Believers prayer book with me.....
in this day and age, i think its safe to say that we should all from this day forward not leave home without our Prayer Books...even just to work and back.....or even on weekends when we go shopping, we should always be armed with a cross around our necks, a prayer rope and our Prayer Book...The Holy bible,Scriptures,10 Comandments are all embedded in our Mind,Soul and body...

Bible is very important
The important book that one should have is the bible. It is the only one I got and I read it every night or every other night.
Most of the prayers that I rely most are the spontaneous ones. Thus, spontaneous prayers are the only prayers wich I think are very powerful because they are personlised and they come out naturally . I have several pamphlets too. In it there are prayers for travelling, and a lot more.

I use the Jordanville prayer book for morning and evening prayers and spontaneous prayers throughout the day (that is, on days when I am smart)

I use the Blue Prayer Book from Boston. The ROCOR monastery in West Virginia recently released a CD of the Morning Prayers, Evening Prayers, and the Communion Rule, from the Jordanville Prayer Book. I'm sure there are mixed feelings about this, but all in all I think this is a great idea. Let's face it! there are times when all of us are lax in our prayer life. This would be ideal to have in the car if you're in a hurry to get to work and the alternative would be to just not pray at all. It could become a crutch, but it would be great for people who want to pray more, but out of weakness can't or don't.
Some people prefer cupcakes. I, for one, care less for them...
