Yet another example of "bishops" praying with heretics:

Archbishop Demetrios Invited to White House for 55th Anniversary of National Day of Prayer

May 4, 2006

New York, NY - Archbishop Demetrios, Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church in America and Chairman of the Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas (SCOBA), was invited to the White House today, May 4th, for the 55th Anniversary of the National Day of Prayer.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual event, established 55 years ago, in which millions of Americans unite to pray for our country and leaders .The White House observance, held this year in the East Room, traditionally headlines events held in public venues to pray for the nation, governmental leaders, media, churches, families and schools.

President George W. Bush who led the ceremony, warmly acknowledged "my good friend Archbishop Demetrios" as he entered the East Room. The observance was attended by religious leaders, members of the Cabinet, government officials and lay leaders from throughout the United States. In addition to the Archbishop, Orthodox hierarchs attending the event were Archbishop Antony of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA and Metropolitan Nicholas of Amissos of the American Carpatho-Russian Church Orthodox Diocese of the U.S.A.

I think it is more interesting to note that GOA has left of the names of all who attended. How many Imams, Priestesses and such were there. But for some, even posters on the Forum, there isn't anything wrong with this. Go look at the link that has a Uniate in Full Regalia attending the consecration of the Altar at the Carpatho Camp. Yet we, who remain true to the Faith, are considered the "whackos" for not looking the other way.

Reader Nicholas,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Yet we, who remain true to the Faith

Could you define for all the readers, your definition of what it means to remain true to the Faith? Also, who you consider the "we"?

Your fellow struggler in Christ,

Rd. Chrysostomos

For me, a simple definition for remaining true to the Faith is: "Does my Bishop cavort with non-Orthodox in prayer." Also, "We have found the True Faith" are more than just words sung during Liturgy. Either Orthodoxy is THE TRUE FAITH or She is not. Does my Nishop behave ass if these words mean something or are they merely words?
