A report is being actively disseminated that the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Metropolitan Laurus, will be attending the Sarov celebrations in Russia. Such a trip was not discussed by the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, nor considered by Metropolitan Laurus personally. His Eminence will officiate at celebrations of the anniversary of the glorification of St. Seraphim of Sarov in the Russian diaspora.
On the feast day of the Veil of the Most-Holy Mother of God of Vlahern, after a lengthy illness, Nun Angelina of Lesna Convent in France departed to the Lord at the age of 87 years. Mother Angelina entered the Convent in 1951, was tonsured to the rassophore by St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco in 1953, and tonsured to the mantle in 1965 by Archbishop Anthony of Geneva.
