how come they are in communion with SP and JP? Did someone tell Met. Vitaly and help him to understand what he innocently did?

ROCOR has been in communion with Serbia since its inception.

As an aside: until the 1960's, ROCOR was listed by the Greek Archdiocese of America as a jurisdiction they share communion with. ROCOR has even had some New Calendar parishes throughout its history(thought I'd throw this in for good "heretical" measure).

ROCOR hasn't changed. Extremists have just gotten louder.

What do you make of this little tidbit about Archbishop Vitaly Maximenko, the original editor of "Pravoslavnaya Rus" discussing his having served at the Cathedral of the Protection in New York in the late 1930's in the Russian-American Orthodox Messenger:

"Vladyka Vitaly expressed great joy and support of that position which has been demonstrated by our Vladyka Metropolitan, introducing into the Divine Service the remembrance of the Most Holy Patriarch Sergi, thus preserving the foundations of church discipline which have governed our Church in America until this day. 'Let them defrock US, let them consider us schismatics, nevertheless we will fulfill our Christian responsibility and pray for our Church in the grave circumstances in which it exists,' said Vladyka Vitaly." (Messenger, Jan. 1944. No. l, New-York)

An Archbishop of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad praying during the liturgy for Patriarch Sergius of Russia in the 1930's???!

Yes, that's what it says. Out of obedience, which is hard to find in the Church these days, this right-believing Archbishop of ROCOR "remembered" Patriarch Sergius.
If anything, the position of ROCOR has gotten MORE extreme over the years, not less. I believe now, after the fall of the Soviet Union, ROCOR is getting back to its original flavor, as some, with the inability to see anything out of a strictly "black and white" context have formed sects and splinter groups comprised of extremists, sexually deviant bishops, misguided overly zealous converts, and power hungry individuals with no real training in the history or purpose of ROCOR.

Met. Vitaly had said that he's overuled by his ecumenist bishops of the Synod but he would never concelebrate with the ecumenist Serbian Church or the Cyprians so many stayed in ROCOR believing him. When he broke that promise many Americans and Europeans joined ROAC which is in communion with the Catacomb Church in Russia who ROCOR broke communion with to cozy up to the MP! :x

People can say whatever they want. The fact is though that ROCOR has never broken communion with Serbia.

It would be easier for you to refute it(it it's true) then for me to show the many instances of ROCOR's relations with Serbia.
