Jean-Serge:

You must read too fast....else you would have read............

Church in the End Times By Alexander Kalomiros

in the beginning of the article AND ........

"Against False Union", Alexander Kalomiros

at the end of the article.

Perhaps it is time for a new pair of reading glasses?

Sorry, can't help you. I know the name, Alexander Kalomiros has been around for longer than I care to admit to. Other than that haven't a clue. Perhaps someone else in this forum can enlighten you, if it's that important.

I beleive he was a medical doctor/layman in Greece who is now departed. He was with the Old Calendar movement in Greece but I don't know which particular group.

In addition to "Against False Union" he wrote the TOUCHSTONE. Both are essential reading for understanding the heresy of ecumenism.

I believe the idea of the New World Order coprises of a one world government and of one world Church headed by the anti-Christ. (This is what the heresy of heresies, Ecumenism is leading towards) These ideas are talked about when the Fathers of the Church speak of the end-times. I think there are a few threads on some of these Patristic prophecies which should be accesable through out search process when we get done doing some critical upgrades this week.

If you are enquiring about that absurd conspiracy theory, you are asking about something that originated outside of the Church, and which contains nothing pertinent either to our salvation, or to our day-to-day life as Orthodox Christians.

Reference this post on the prophecies of Elder Joseph of Vatopedi.

Part of the prophecy states:
World power has now been seized by the Jews, and their goal is to annihilate Christianity. The wrath of God will be such that all those secret foes who are bringing about this state of affairs will be destroyed themselves.

So, I would say, 'Yes', there is a quiet take over of the world with the aim of bringing about the Antichrist.

This actually is a vast subject which doesn't lend itself to short explainations, unfortunately. Needless to say, a conspiracy it is, a theory it is not, and it's absurdity depend on what side of the fence you are on. It is important for Orthodox Christians be aware of what is going on in the world. We obviously can't know the time nor day, but Christ we would be able to watch the signs and know when things are close.

One of these signs was the Bolshevik Revolution which culminate in the murder of the last Orthodox Emperor, Nicholas II. There is good article in Vernost/Fidelity #17 titled: “Fair is Foul and Foul is Fair: The Spiritual Implications of the Bolshevik Revolution"
