The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

Corporate America
snuggles up to 'gays'

Many of America's most successful companies continue to snuggle up to homosexuals, with a record 101 firms receiving a perfect score for "homosexual"-friendliness, according to a new ranking by a homosexual-rights group.

"Corporate America knows that treating employees fairly is not just the right thing to do, it's good for the bottom line," said Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, which released its annual Corporate Equality Index.

"The enormous growth we've tracked in fair employee policies proves that corporate America is making good on the old adage: what's good for business is good for America."

HRC's index is the nation's only rating system for corporations on homosexual, bisexual and transgender policies, rating companies on a scale from 0 to 100 percent based on a variety of indicators, such as diversity training, equal health-care benefits, and policies prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Among this year's findings:

  • A record 101 companies score 100 percent, attributed to a sharp increase in gender identity non-discrimination policies. In 2002, only 13 companies earned a perfect mark.

  • Today, 5.6 million people work at the 101 companies that score 100 percent. Three years ago, approximately 690,000 people were employed by the 13 companies with a perfect score.

  • Eighty-one percent of scored companies offer health benefits to the domestic partners of employees, up from 70 percent in 2002.

Some companies are proudly flaunting their perfect scores, including insurance and financial giant MetLife.

"Our corporate vision to build financial freedom for everyone is all-inclusive for a reason," said Debra Capolarello, MetLife's senior vice president and chief talent officer. "We recognize that our employees have diverse strengths, our customers have diverse financial needs, and we are committed to ensuring that respect for diversity remains ingrained in our culture."

Arthur Ryan of Prudential Financial

At Prudential Financial, CEO Arthur Ryan said, "Diversity continues to be key to the ongoing success of our company, and we remain committed to ensuring an inclusive and supportive work environment for all people."

Eastman Kodak, the photography company criticized several years ago for firing a 23-year veteran who objected to a pro-homosexual memo, also received a perfect 100 score for "homosexual"-friendliness.

Kodak president Antonio Perez

"Diversity and inclusion is a key business imperative for us," says Kodak president Antonio Perez on the company's website.

The index notes that in electronics retail, Best Buy offers full protections to homosexuals, while competitor Radio Shack scores a 29 percent and Circuit City holds a 43 percent score.

It says corporations "actively working against equality" include Emerson Electric with a 29 percent score, Entergy with 36 percent, ExxonMobil with 14 percent, and Perot Systems with a 14 percent score.

The HRC notes ExxonMobil "has the dubious distinction of being the only U.S. company to roll back both benefits eligibility for its employees' domestic partners and a sexual orientation non-discrimination policy."

In the financial sector, Citigroup and J.P. Morgan Chase each score 100, compared to MBNA that has given money to groups opposed to special rights for homosexuals, and scores only 43 percent.

Other companies which have relatively low scores on the pro-homosexual chart include Alltel, Aquila, Archer Daniels Midland, Bayer, Cracker Barrel, H.J. Heinz, Hormel Foods, May Department Stores, Maytag, Nestle Purina PetCare, Newell Rubbermaid, Nissan, Rite Aid and Rohm & Haas.

Out of all the companies who scored low on this, Cracker Barrell was one that most definitely came to mind. That has to be one of my favorite American restaurants.

My dad mentioned something about Progressive Insurance making major contributions to George Soros' baby-murdering campaing, although I don't know if it's true. I am going to google it and if it's true I am letting my policy go bad in March.

I had read a couple of weeks ago, That Ford was extremely pissed and was removing there daughters adds "LAND ROVER" from a homosexual and LESBIAN magazine in America ,after Ford was confronted about Land rover making a full page appearance in one of the pages of this homosexual/Lesb mag.this protestant group in america vowed to put this out to all its Christian Groups and papers which would basically hurt an already hurting Ford motor company, apparently these protestants have secret organizations up day and night scaning every book, magazine, web site, and t.v add that is coming out for any link to the ANTI-ACHRIST.....This is probally where you got the above topic list of companys and organizations...a salute to the Protestants for atleast doing this work, but it makes no sense to fall away from the teachings of Christ and and make up your own and then send people to hades on the way..

Progressive Insurance Chairman Gives $8.5 Million To ACLU

In one of his recent columns, Chuck Colson relates the following story.

In a Texas classroom, children were told to draw a tracing of their foot, and then put a message on the drawing. One little girl wrote "Jesus Loves Me" on hers. What happened next shows the abysmal state of religious tolerance in America.

As Fox news anchor John Gibson relates in his new book, The War on Christmas, the child's teacher ripped the tracing off the board. "Don't you ever do this again," she said. The little girl burst into tears.

When her outraged father called the school, nervous officials told the child to make another tracing. She did so-but this time, instead of scrawling "Jesus Loves Me," she drew a tiny cross that was so small it was almost invisible.
Behind nearly every such incident you will find the ACLU. According to the New York Times, Peter Lewis, chairman of Progressive Insurance, believes in the mission and work of the ACLU so much that he gave them $8.5 million. (Do an Internet search on "Peter B. Lewis" and "ACLU." You'll be shocked by how extensive his support is!)

Chairman Lewis' gift helps the ACLU promote their anti-Christmas agenda such as:

Removing nativity scenes from public property

Banning songs such as Silent Night from schools

Refusing to allow students to write about the Christian aspect of Christmas in school projects

Renaming Christmas break Winter break

Refusing to allow a city sponsored Christmas parade to be called a Christmas parade

Not allowing a Christmas tree in a public school

Renaming a Christmas tree displayed on public property a Holiday tree
In addition to their war on Christmas, the ACLU uses gifts like that from Chairman Lewis to:

Sue states to force them to legalize homosexual marriage

Force libraries to remove porn filters from their computers

Sue the Boy Scouts to force them to accept homosexuals as scout leaders

Help legalize child pornography

Legalize live sex acts in bars in Oregon

Protect the North American Man Boy Love Association whose motto is "sex by eight or it is too late"

Censor student led prayer at graduation

Remove "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance

Remove "In God We Trust" on our currency
Recommended action: If you have a Progressive Insurance policy, cancel it. If you don't have a Progressive policy, let Chairman Lewis know you will not be buying one. (We recommend you do not purchase Allstate Insurance. We will explain our recommendation in a future letter.)

yep...I am cancelling.

Apple Computer

Doesn't Nicholas (and perhaps other admins/mods) use an Apple? And they operate/moderate this forum? So... maybe you should boycott ECafe until they refuse to use Apple Computers? :D

:? Good one Justin, I didn't think of that, lol. I can't afford an Apple, or and ipod, or anything that gets mentioned on TV. Well the computer I am using is not any brand, just a pasted together mess of out-dated technology.
