Mary Cecilia is recovering slowly, lost 20 lbs, is finally back on solid food, and is now in room 7636 on Seven North.
Please note the room number change in case you send an ecard for well wishes here: http://www.chp.edu/contact/getwell.php She was admitted under the name Cecilia Kissel, which you will need to send an eCard.
Mary Cecilia is back home and said to tell everyone, "thank you very much" for the prayers and eCards. But please keep praying for her.
Mary is out of the hospital now and will most likely be fine.
PS. Regarding another thread: there are Orthodox Christians who openly support the ordination of women. I just got done reading a book about the subject written by "moderates" (Bishop Kallistos, Thomas Hopko, etc.), and at the end they named 3 (!) Orthodox "theologians" who openly support the ordination of women to the priesthood (yes, the sacramental priesthood).
I just wanted to tell everyone thankyou for all of your prayers, and e-letters they were greatly appreciated! I am feeling better now, just hurt alil bit but I'm ok
I thought I would just let all of you know what had happened that made me go into the hospital.
On the 27th of May, early Tuesday morning (around 4am) I started to feel sick, pains in my gall bladder and my heart was acting up a bit. I went into the ER and then later that day was admited. They were going to operate on me sooner than this past Monday but they couldn't because my blood was too thin and I was at risk for bleeding to death. So I had to get off my Coumadin (a blood thinner for those of you who don't know what that is)(I'm on it because I have two artifical valves) and was put on an IV with Heprin going into me, this is a blood thinner as well, but somehow they can use this one to get my blood to where it was needed to be at for me to be safe in surgery. Once they got it where it was needed at they planned for the removal of my gall bladder to be on this past Monday. The whole time I was there up til this past Weds I was on clear liquids so that I would have no more pain in my gall bladder and so I could basically relax 'comfortably' while awaiting the removal of my gall bladder. Once my gall bladder was removed I was put back on the Heprin and I wasn't sent home until yesterday because they had to adjust my blood levels to where it would be safe for me to go home.
Thanks again for the prayers and the e-letters!
My husband and I will be taking a break from posting on the forums for awhile.
IN Christ,
MaryCecilia
