Interesting

Post by Jean-Serge »

Interesting indeed... But maybe Orthodox witnessed arian or semi-arian services due to a great confusion of the mind... For example, in the Greek Islands during Italian occupation (Venitian), Orthodox (including the clergy) participated to catholic services but this was condemned by the monks of Athos.

We must not forget we must not be responsible of a fall of the "little ones" who can be confused by such behaviors and led to fall...

If "confusion" means proclaiming the Truth of Orthodoxy to even the pope, may God's will be...Go you therefore and preach unto all nations, teaching the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

non-orthodox priests attending Orthodox services

Post by LoveToChant »

Jean-Serge,

Our priest did. He had to sneak to an Orthodox church on saturday evenings for vespers. He is now Orthodox! Imagine those people closing the door on him just because he was a "heretic"!!!

I'm glad you weren't the one greeting him at the door. By the way, my comment is not an attack, just an attempt at looking at the humorous side.

Good new. But it does not bother me as long as he came himself and was not invited for a "diplomatic" or "ecumenist" attendence of an Orthodox worship
