ROCOR : will the flock prevent the unia?

In Orthodoxy, the flock is also the defendor of the faith. Do you think the ROCOR flock will demonstrate to prevent the Unia? If he does so, what are the chance of success?

Excellent poll question. We as the flock are defenders of the faith, but with that responsibility comes the directive to follow our Shepard. I believe ones adamantly opposed to all things MP have already, took there leave. My question has always been, where do we draw the line. If we oppose, where does it stop. For instance, if Met Valentine comes out with something the good folks in ROAC don't agree with, do they branch and create what? My point is, the foundation of the Church is the Flock, if we keep breaking and branching out, what's left. Almost a radical concept to the Russian Orthodox Church I know.

I think that they will follow their shepherds, If not, they should already have left. I believe that there is a double speech in ROCOR with regard to the "Uniya", many say to be in against (and maybe they are really), but they don't have the gills of leaving the comfort of ROCOR, to lose their buildings etc.

I also think that "optional jurisdictions" are not making a good work to capture this people. These jurisdictions instead of looking for the unity to favor their proposal, they are insulted to each other, besides having some internal problems.

O.k. this so un-Orthodox, look back at everyone of you ,who are now accused of judgeing your brothers and sisters....Rocor is the True church and thats not to say others arent , our Heirarchs have never said that.. at this point who cares , we should be worried about saving our souls and helping those around us , as Rocor has been doing for over 75 years now , and not thru ecumenical affairs, but thru worhip of the Triune God, His Mother and Fasting,Prayer,Watchfullness,and veneration of our Saints...
I as a member of The Rocor Lay-People BSRS-,pray for all of you, and ask you all that have been approached or slandered by members of Our Rocor for forgiveness, they must have been in transient from one jurisdiction to another, to have spoken in that tone and Spirit.....Whatever the Outcome , The HOLY SPIRIT has truely guided THE ROCOR from the begining it blessed its Exile to many countries and now it has blessed its coming back to continue to Save souls . Many times Traditionalists are quick to say the antiChrist has entered The Roman church and struck it hard, this is Blasphemy.. But what it did do is try and take Russia and succeeded for many,many years and included the bloodbath of the russian new Martyrs, for who which we venerate and ask to help us ..and now the time has come, to be present at take what was taken away during the dark communist yoke...The First HEIRARCH of the Russian Church Abroad VLADYKA METROPOLITAN LAVRA , and The HOLY SYNOD are almost being martyred in many peoples hearts for what ? because you think unia shouldnt happen? what a selfish and selfcenters person you are, when you all awake from these phantom dreams, let I remind you that CHRIST IS THE LEADER OF THIS HOLY ORTHODOX Church, either in russia, in Greece, in america, whereever , and what GOD wants HE WILL GET, its his..see how simple it is........if no one else bows down and ask you all for forgiveness and and asks in harmonious love to just leave us alone..Then I do , I will take this upon myself to ask you all for forgiveness and to leave us alone..may our path not cause you confusion,but understanding THAT GODS WILL HAS PREVAILED....you are free to join us, as we know God has given us Free-will, but if you dont then goodluck, we will be here if you need us....But i will remind you to always remember that

This poll and the way the question is worded disgusts me...that people claiming to be Christians should see disunity, slander, expressions of ill-will, name-calling, hatred in the guise of "Orthodoxy" and schisms in the Orthodox Church as somehow "serving the Name of Christ".....

Oh, you Russians! Shame on you for bringing shame on the Name of Christ, the Prince of Peace! Shame on you if you fail to repair the torn Garment of Christ- His Church!
