Dear Moderator(s),
Why is this man permitted to run amok to the loss of his own dignity and to the disruption of the forum?
Compassion for the obviously mentally ill does not mean turning a blind eye to their behaviour no matter how disruptive and self-injuring it is. People out of control sometimes need to be protected from themselves.
I feel sorry for the guy too, but this "free rein" is just not ameliorating his condition.
Perhaps his posts could be moderated for a while so that they need to be approved by a moderator before they appear?

"Church News' appears to be a euphemism for a rather nasty and scurrilous series of attacks in a form nearer to the sort of 'scandal' sheet all too familiar to British and American people.
The Church Fathers approached these matters in much more considered, sober and brotherly way.
There have been repeated appeals to the originator and the moderators who appear to be content to let this dreadful situation not merely continue but flourish, and on a site supposedly seeking to represent 'Traditional Orthodoxy'.
Sometimes it appears more a sad example of something from the religious 'lunatic fringe'.
When I reflect on what this site once was I want only to weep.........

Same here, and I only popped in today to see how things were going and say "hi and no hard feelings" after a long absence since 3rd March when I left after not being able to post for "technical" reasons (eh hem)......What a shock to see such disintegration!!!
I recall noting and commenting about the direction Euphrosynoscafe was taking before I left (especially about the then new "World Orthodoxy" section)....how sad to see the fruit of the direction which was chosen.
Perhaps Euphrosynoscafe will rise again from the ashes, perhaps not, especially if:

Which, if it is the case, then like I said, it's probably best to "leave the dead to bury their dead" and move on rather than continue to flog a dead horse to the detriment of our own spiritual life, and to the disrespect of the dead carcass which was once a living, vibrant thing.

Dear Friends:
I found out through Archimandrite Andrei (Maklakov), ROAC Administrator in USA that Subdeacon Nathaniel is member of our church.
On the other hand, I want to emphasize that we should keep in mind that personal declarations of Subdeacon Nathaniel are not the oficial points of view of the Russian Ortrhodox Autonomous Church (Free Russian Orthodox Church)
We should also know how to understand that Br Nathaniel has been enough affected psychically and spiritually; although the above-mentioned in no way is a justification for Br Nathaniel. From the beginning, we have advised him that he stops to write for a while until he would be better. We simply act for Christian love, and we ask you (members of the Cafe) your forgiveness in this matter
With love in Christ

Brother Nathaniel wrote:About "this." Priest Siluan is a young fellow, and he is trying
real hard to be well let's say "a man of authority." That's okay
by me, because I.m all about "that."
Simply to clarify this. I don't have any authority except which gave me my ruler bishop.
For I finish, I already apologize with you privately and openly, I have already fulfilled my part.
