I wonder if the same people would pray with Russian Orthodox or even the MAJORITY(70%) of Ukrainian Orthodox who are faithful to the Mother Church, the Moscow Patriarchate?! And a simple transliteration from the Chronicles gives us "KIEV"--enough of russophic Russian ebonics!!!

Orthodox, Catholics Pray Together in Kyiv
16.11.2005, [15:19] // Ecumenism //
Kyiv– On 13 November 2005 faithful of the Roman and Ukrainian Greek Catholic churches, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate, and the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church gathered again to pray together on Kyiv’s St. Sophia Square for the unity of their churches.
This prayer followed joint public prayers for Ukraine on Kyiv’s Independence Square during the Orange Revolution of 2004, which united Christians of different churches in Ukraine and, as catholicmedia.org.ua puts it, “gave rise to a wave of high spirit among Ukrainians.” These joint public prayers inspired the faithful of these Catholic and Orthodox churches to come from different parts of Ukraine to Kyiv every month to pray together for unity among the Ukrainian churches.
Such prayers have taken place since May 2005, as the Catholic Media Center reported.
Even though the event took place on a public square, catholicmedia.org.ua says it had nothing to do with politics. The faithful carried icons and their single banner had the following slogan: “Help us, dear God, to unite the church and to build a bridge between the east and the west of Ukraine.”
The participants of this movement, which has the motto “The east and west of Ukraine in unity under the protection of the most holy Mother of God,” believe that this joint prayer will further friendship and cooperation among the churches in Ukraine. The Christians also hope that their prayer will testify to the deep union of their churches and will help to carry out the Christian mission among the Ukrainian nation.
