Christ is in our midst!
I am interested in learning impressions of the Milan Synod and would like to hear from anyone who has an opinion...

Synof of Milan

Post by Jean-Serge »

What I am sure about, is that Euloge of Milan id a free mason and an ecclesiastical adventurer... In his jurisdiction, he promotes free masons' ordinations... The documents used to be on the web but the site no longer exists... They were collected by a Frenchman Michel Laroche (another eclesiastical adventurer) who was member of such church...

This Michel Laroche was a married Orthodox priest who was elevated to bishop by one the autocephalous Ukrainian Orthodox churches and is called now Metropolitan of "the Whole France"...

Personally I have my very serious reservations on that synod (I think the same about Evlogy), but not all there are bad there is also there are many pius and good people as Hieromonje Aidan (Keller) - now in ROCOR (L)? - and Archimandrita Gorazd of Argentina.

As for the Masonry, also EP and SP (and other) have their matters.

From what I've read about their history, I'd say avoid them. Based on my talking to one of their priests on the phone, I'd say avoid them.

Correct me if im wrong , but Arch-Bishop Lazar P now in the OCa ,was with this synod for a while, Right...
and also Bishop Theodore Irtel was with them , he was the Famous Priest who no one knows, he was sent from russia to spruce Island to kick Archmandrite Gerasim Schmaltz of Blessed Memory from the Relics and chapel of ST.Herman of alaska..he didnt succeed, with St Hermans Protection of Blessed Gerasim(who went into Exile from all the jurisdiction fuss of those years).anyway Bishop Theodore went south to Juarez Mexico and lived there with the poor for many, mnay years and then was brought into that synod as an Elder.he died in the 80s in New York after being given the Great Schema

I really appreciate the feedback, but does anyone have an opinion on their model of resistance and restoration of Orthodox unity?

They don't have a model. They are ecumenists who were by some accounts willing to give up councils 4-7 in order to join with the Syrians. They are Old Calendarists in name only. They believe we are already one with the New Calendarists and their primary concern seems to be calendrical and not faith-based. And I have met and spoken at length with two of their bishops and know a third bishop of their synod via email.
