Suggestion for Kollyvas

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

Suggestion for Kollyvas

Post by Chrysostomos »

Kollyvas,

I have read the concerns about you "overloading" the system and I think I have come up with a solution! It is very evident that you have alot of things to post on a daily basis.

Solution.....

Do one post a day - call it Kollyvas Extra or maybe Kollyvas Misc.

Use this as a rec. format:

Kollyvas Misc. Post

German Chancellor tells Orthodox to Get Out
Link: http://.......

Putin Labeled Liar by Baltic Nations
Link: http://

Catholic Theologians Up in Arms
Link: http://

Then the next day, post your daily "links to articles" in same Post.
That way, those who want to read, will have a convienent place to go to read them. Those who don't want to, won't click your "reserved' space.

I think this is a viable solution and I believe everyone would hopefully support it.

Your fellow struggler in Christ,

Rd. Chrysostomos[/b]

perhaps you can actually follow your own advices and not waste space with non-topics and actually find something substantive to say. ZDon't bother harassing me...I actually have something to say and informed opinion:CLUE.

ive noticed that Our sub/deacon moderator does that .he posts a little of something with an outer link to the main topic...........
It would also relieve alot of space...and guess what its almost The Nativity Fast again, which means lots and lots of services....
God Strengthen all those from the choir to the Bishops for there lengthy services coming up not to mention the intense fast`s some of them take upon themselves.....................about 24 more days

My intention was in helping find a solution, rather than denigrating one another, as you have chosen to do to me. So be it.

Having said that, Ekatrina said in another post in Misc.:

I would also remind everyone that not so long ago this site was indanger of losing it's old posts because we ran out of room. A very generous friend of this site paid for more storage. Yet, today we have someone who seems intent on destroying this site by using up precious space on what is literally garbage. Posts that have large gaps of wasted space, ads and other advertisments that have nothing to do with the article.

Kollyvas, I was that "generous friend", so I feel that I have provided both funds and solutions to a possible problem. You offer nothing more than denigrating comments.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner!

Your fellow struggler in Christ,

Rd. Chrysostomos

But if while thy lips declare thee willing, thy heart be silent, He knoweth the heart, who judgeth thee. Cease from this day from every evil deed. Let not thy tongue speak unseemly words, let thine eye abstain from sin, and from roving after things unprofitable.

St. Cyril of Jerusalem

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner!
