If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 3Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.
My advice isn't coming from a pedestal...God knows, I have my own problems. I just think, from a practical point of view, your life would be much easier, and your break with Gregory much quicker and smoother, if you give him the cassock and call it a day. You'd be the better man. Don't entertain his petty squabbles.

Please don't get me wrong. I am not being combative. "Come let us reason together," is my watchword with you my dear brother, for I see you want what is best for me. OK.
Gregory is not asking for my coat to keep warm. He is pressing a criminal charge namely "FELONY" against me for a coat that he has no need of but to strip me of my consecration unto God. "The righteous falling down before the wicked is as a troubled spring." Proverbs 25
If you do not agree with this, I will accept it and give you the last word, for "I perceive you are a prophet"as the saying goes and I am not being sarcastic.
Second I must be Jailed. Why? There are 3 parishioners still with Gregory who have pleaded with him to "drop the charges." They are watching very carefully to see if he will rise to the occasion. If he does not and I "go to Jail" he loses and these 3 winners take all. In other words, they will leave him and take all of God's salvation for their souls with them.

The Dormition Skete people are being vile; why resist, when our Lord tells us that if anyone demand our riassa we should give him the podriasnik as well. I do not doubt the things are all yours, nor that the actions of the skeeters are not Christian. I suppose you could demand proof other than the word of the cultists-in-solidarity that the things belong to them. Or get those who gave them to you to state their intentions. But why? Why let them draw you into a conflict that can have no good effect on your soul -- or those of anyone else? With prayers for you and your enemies,

Martin was born of pagan parents in the Pannonian town of Sabaria in the year 316. His father was a Roman officer, and the young Martin was given over to military service against his will. By then, however, he was already a catechumen in the Christian Church. From early childhood he had loved the Church with all his heart. One winter, while traveling with his companions to the town of Amiens, he saw a beggar before the town gates, almost naked and shivering from the cold. Martin felt sorry for him, and fell behind his companions. He then removed his military cloak and cut it in two with his sword. He gave one half to the beggar and wrapped the other around himself, and left. That night, the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to him in a dream, wrapped in the other half of his cloak, and said to His angels: ``Martin is only a catechumen, yet behold: he has clothed Me with his garment!'' Leaving the army, Martin was immediately baptized, and then baptized his mother. He was then tonsured a monk in the diocese of St. Hilary of Poitiers and led a life of true asceticism. Martin was exceptionally humble, for which God endowed him with an abundant gift of working miracles, such that he raised the dead and drove out evil spirits. Martin was appointed Bishop of Tours against his will. After abundant labor in the vineyard of the Lord, and after a difficult struggle with pagans and Arian heretics, St. Martin gave his holy soul into the hands of his Lord in the year 397.

Dear Niphon,
Having sat through 2 Trapeza's a day for 6 years at HTM, and being the Trapeza reader at DS for 2 years, I know the story of St Martin of Tours by heart.
"The righteous falling down before the wicked is as a broken wall and a troubled spring," is more applicable to gregory than the life of the Saint above.
Gregory is by no means 'poor.' He returns from frescoing an Antiochian Church with $200,000 in his pocket. He has more work and orders than he can handle. I do not give that which is holy unto 'dogs.'
