Not sure we will live to see that union with Rome, Father. My prayer is that Russia stays Orthodox not be changed into something other than that.

Southern Orthodox

First I apologize for my bad english

I just wonder what is most important, is it more important to be an RUSSIAN orthodox or an ORTHODOX russian? If you set orthodoxy first, then you set the canons before nationality and patriarchate. Then you clearly must see that unrepented heresies such as ecumenism and sergianism is a greater and more improtant hindrance for reunion than whatever argument you may find for union. I ask: Union WITH WHAT? As I see it, union with segianist moscow can only mean union with hipocracy.

Exact science must presently fall upon its own keen sword...from Skepsis there is a path to "second religiousness," which is the sequel and not the preface of the Culture.

Excellent point and your English is right on. I believe first and foremost we are Orthodox by faith and Russian by tradition, having said that and being mindful of ecumenism and sergianism that has engulfed Russia for years. I believe that a union or even restoration between the MP and ROCOR can only result in a beginning of a true restoration of the way the church was originally established. Hypocrisy rules the day that is for sure. Christ gave us repentance more of a practice for us to use if we will only use it. When you stop and think what took place in the early 1900's in Russia one can only be horrified that the evil that took place and the fall out effects we are still struggling with. I see the main hindrance in such a union is the lack of true reptenance.

There can be no true union of the faith unless all the participants of the hierarchy are in unison under the Holy Spirit.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)
