St. Gorazd

Post by _cizinec_ »

I have been looking for information on the life of St. Gorazd, one of the "Numbers Five".

I understand he was born in Slovakia to a wealthy family, was set as successor to St. Methodius, escaped from the Latins and then . . .

Does anyone know what happened next? I have read theories that he went to Poland, which I find odd. Is his day celebrated on July 27th, along with the rest of the Numbers Five? Is there a tropar that would give a clue as to what happened to him?
