Preface to "The Soul After Death" by Father Seraphim [Rose] of Platina

I'm starting to realize that Father Seraphim Rose isn't some monk who started writing, I think he was guided by the Holy Spirit. I went through all the pages fast fast, and I noticed how humble he was writing this book.

I too see that this book was not written in haste and a great deal of thought was put into it. I have read books that are full of quotes from the Church Fathers and the Rudder, but the compiler can take what ever quotes he wants and present them in a deceiving way. This however is a promise of not that sort of thing.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book.

Just as a note, I have been with 2 bishops that have condemned this book and I have accepted their condemnation with out reading the book. I have met some people that speak highly of this book and author and I respect these people. I have also seen what has happened to these bishops. I am truly looking forward to this book.

Those who have condomned this book, condemn the same Holy Fathers who Father Seraphim Rose has used, such as Saints Theophan the Recluse and Ignatius Brianchanninov. And so many other Holy Church Fathers who defended the Toll Houses monastic teaching are supposedly condemned. I am profiting very much spiritually from Holy Father Seraphim. I beg God that I live the oppertunity of his glorification that I may humbly venerate Father Seraphim's holy icon.
