Please don't beat your head against the wall. :ohvey: The reason I'm highlighting the saturday sabbath this last post, was in part due to the response by fr. Nicholas using acts to suggest that the apostles worshiped on sunday as the sabbath. Let me get this straight, when you say you RECOGNIZE the saturday sabbath, do you mean that this is your sabbath day of worship. Or do you mean you just RECOGNIZE it?

There is no word in Greek for "Saturday", so in Greece it is still called the "Sabbath" unlike here in the West. We do not have any other day called the Sabbath except Saturday, and we do our best to keep it Holy.

Was there something more written in the commandment that we are missing?

I am glad you are doing your best to keep the sabbath holy. That is very commendable. Most churches choose to keep sunday instead of saturday holy by holding their worship services on this day instead of the sabbath.

In Greek there is also no word for "Sunday", its called the Lord's Day. We celebrate the Ressurrection of the Lord on this day. Is that wrong do you thing?

I suppose then you would feel it is also wrong to worship the Lord on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday?

Not at all. As long as you keep the seventh day sabbath holy by resting and going to church on saturday. Jesus was our example and was in constant communion with his father, worshipping Him every day. Jesus worshipped His father every day as we also should, but He set apart saturday as a special day for church and worship. Jesus taught in the synagogue on saturday sabbath as was His custom.
