Part 3 Chapter 7: A Crown is Promised to Those Who Bear the Cross

Angel: I am not teaching you to resist, but to endure. The crown is promised not te the one who does evil, but to the one who will endure evil. To conquer with evil is satan's law. That is why at celebrantions of nations the conquerors are crowned. But in the spiritual arena the law of granting crowns is contrary to this, because here the judgment is not to crown the one dealing the blows but the one recieving them. This is indeed a heavenly journey, and angelic marvel (Isidor Ilusior, Book 2:169).

If a man strikes you on the one cheek turn and offer him the other, if you are forced to go one mile go two, from the Gospels. By God's grace we can do this, in imitation of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
