On Sunday, 6 April, His Eminence Archbishop Alypy of Chicago and Detroit performed divine liturgy alone for the first time since his injury. He did not cense the church and did not emerge for the Great Entrance, but was able to stand when required to. Many parishioners had tears in their eyes. The Spring Session of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia ended on 15 May.

On Sunday, 18 May, Divine liturgy will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the New Martyrs in Munich, Germany, by the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus.

Monday, 19 May is the feast day of St. Job of Pochaev the Long-suffering and the date of birth of Tsar-Martyr Nicholas II. On this day, the Memorial Church in Brussels marks its feast day. His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus will officiate at the service

Graduation at Holy Trinity Seminary will be held on Sunday, 1 June.


One of the eldest clergymen of the Canadian Diocese passed away -- the former rector of Holy Trinity Church in Windsor, Protopriest Leonid Nikolsky.
