Stravrophila: Truely, it is a great honour to carry the cross. As an emporor of the world shows his favour toward those near him with gifts and other awards, so the Lord sends crosses upon those near Him to manifest how much they please Him.

If we glory in the cross then we will not be glorying in ourselves. Besides, God has given us our cross, then as a gift from someone we love we boast in the gift given us. Wow! Lord have mercy on me!
