Moved over in anticipation of the reviews!

Post by 尼古拉前执事 »

Since 23 people voted yes and many more posted their yes rather than voting, I expect to see at least 25 posts in each thread for each chapter's reviews.

For anyone that only wants to participate in this section for Great Lent, if you click on the words "Book Reviews" on the main forum page, only the book review section will show, as all other sections will collapse and you will not see them.

Great news Thomas! Clean Monday would probably be the best day to start. Start Great Lent off with a bang. With there being 47 chapters it would be easy to structure 1 chapter per day for the 40 days of Great Lent and the 7 days of the Holy Week Fast, but feel free to read as much as tyou like per day. I look forward to everyone's thoughts on the chapters and the book as a whole.

Right. But when is Clean Monday on the Old Calender?

Same as the New, (in one week) as the New Calendar uses the Gregorian calendar but grafts* the Julian Paschalion on to it so we all celebrate the Lenten Triodion, Pascha and the Pentecostarion together for now.

*The exception being the Church of Finland who celebrates everything on the Gregorian calendar in order to remain a tax-free entity
