Icon Problem

Post by Justin »

I'm having the worst time finding an icon of St. Elizabeth, Mother of The Forerunner. It's impossible! There is one at one website, but they print icons of Francis of Assissi et al and I'd prefer to buy one from a completely Orthodox source. Anyone able to lend a hand in this issue?

Dear in Christ, Justin,
Our 'juristiction' (how I detest that word!) has a Convent in Etna, CA, which both writes and prints Icons. Oddly enough, the Convent is dedicated to St. Elizabeth the Grand Duchess of Russia, but I checked the website, and they do in fact have icons of the Mother of the Forerunner as well. You will find them at: http://users.sisqtel.net/cse/index.html

Greetings in Christ,

I am unsure if this is the correct Elizabeth, however, there is an icon from HTM (http://www.thehtm.org) of a Saint Elizabeth.

This is probably the site you were referring to in your post, but this is another icon i found of [ur=http://www.comeandseeicons.com/inp133.html]Righteous Elizabeth holding the Forerunner[/url].

I hope that this helps.
