Okay, I have to admit I am really thinking about this due to the revelations about the Antiochians. It makes one think one a whole new level. Hmm. I will have to get back to you on that.

I think that it says, in plain view, not to commune with heretics (or schismatics). Of course, with all of this jurisdictionalism and finger-pointing, it's hard to figure out who the schismatics are, and who they aren't. As for heresy, that's a bit easier to identify. And what's this business about some "revelations" about the Antiochians, anyway?

I believe Nicholas was referring to the discovery that not only do the Antiochians commune monophysites, but Patriarch Ignatius IV and Met. Philip were the ones responsible for it (in other words, it's not like a bunch of priests decided to start doing this and the Bishops are struggling against it -- it was an order given from above). What's more, there may have already been--and there are at the very least plans to have in the future--concelebrations with monophysites bishops.
