How/why can someone feel drawn to both of these groups?

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

I wish you wouldn't have posted about this. I googled and found their white supremacist site and read it. How disturbing. I got mentioned (not by name) as the guy who would rather be around mestizos than whitebread people (HEY Mr White Supremacist Orthodox, if you are reading this, I forgot to mention that I was once engaged to a beautiful, dark-skinned Indian!!).

At any rate, I read that site for an hour and was just so depressed upon finishing it. UGH. Poor, lost, disillusioned people.

Don't worry, Orthodox6, I don't blame you for my spending an hour there; that was my choice--but I just was drawn to their morbid site and their satanic teachings and spirit. I kept thinking about the wonderful "mud people" (as they call them) whom I know and love and respect as hard working and intelligent people. I also saw the people with Hitler on their profile and was just disgusted.

I was floored that they have Slavs on there posting as if they were Aryans. Hitler didn't think so, yet some Slavs have now joined the Aryan nightmare fantasy. :( There was one lady posting as "Magyargirl"and I thought, silly girl, Hungarians are descended from Asians. Some people are so confused.

At any rate, you are right that this is scary that someone could stumble on this and think it is Orthodox. Hopefully anyone with half a brain would see that only two Orthodox were posting there and both were quite angry people.

All this talk about white racial meltown also got me. How many peoples has God let die out because of their sin? If the white race dies out it will be because of its sins against charity (by not allowing more children to bless their families in Europe) and agnosticism. I like my white race and yes I am proud to be a "European American" (I actually have used that term to make a point--but my concern comes from the fact that any American is an American, and these lables can become dividing; the David Dukes of the world want division though).

Sorry for my long ramble.

I, for one, feel sorry for them. They are sooooo lost. Even if they want to be voluntarily evil about it...they don't realize that their master is just using them. They ACTUALLY BELIEVE that they will gain some kind of reward for their efforts! Man, will they be surprised when they finally see the truth...but unfortunately it will be in death and too late for them to change their minds. That's why I feel so sorry for them.

They should be careful of the master they serve. If he wants them to do these aggressive and hateful things to others, don't they realize that he wouldn't blink an eye to do it to them? If he is the teacher of it, then wouldn't he also be the instigator of it? But, what he will do to them is AFTER they die, so really, are they willing to take that chance? I guess they're too ignorant to realize the outcome.

They're being used and they're too stupid to realize it. Because there is no intelligence in their behaviour. They can't think for themselves.

And believe me, I don't go around calling people stupid, but these people have ABSOLUTELY no brain in their heads if they can be so manipulated to do things that are hurtful to other people and STILL consider themselves God-fearing people. Even the Bible shows that God wants us to love each other. Love thy neighbor as thyself. There was no color or ethnic background indicated. JUST, love thy neighbor as thyself.

Thou shalt not kill. But, they are collecting weapons to destroy anybody in their path. THEY don't even follow the basic Ten Commandments.

There is something very evil happening amongst these people and unfortunately, they got swallowed up by it. If they were born somewhere else, with a different life, they wouldn't have turned out the same way. That's why we have to feel pity for them. They were once innocent children that got spiritually poisoned. We should pray for the innocent ones that are amongst them now and ask God to save them from the same hateful destruction.

Sadly these good people appeared to be consumed with hate where they should be full of love. Compassion they appear to confuse with weakness or even betrayal?

Anyone may claim to be anything but by your fruits you are known, and very tragically these sad souls appear to be anything other than Orthodox Christians. Only Satan is served by such hate filled drivel as is peddled by some.

What can we do? Pray that God may have mercy on them and upon us. Very sad.

To begin with, thank you Orthodox6 for that music link! It's really made my morning much easier to handle! :)

And now to your main question. One of the things that people of this bent see overlapping is the "us vs. them" mentality. As Christians, we are exhorted to "reject Satan and all his works" (ie, "the world") but at the same time we are forced, in a way, to live in it. With the advent of Evangelical Protestantism and "pick and choose" dogma, it's quite easy, especially in the denominational chaos that is the United States, for any Christian group to be looked at through the eyes of what I like to call "evangelical racism". It's one thing if an individual chooses to ignorantly deprive him or herself of the joys of knowing someone who looks different from you, be it color or culture, but quite another thing to actively espouse such an ideology, hence the word "evangelical".

While we may look at Christianity as an inclusive religion and the gathering of all peoples to Christ, those who primarily see the world through the prism of race can easily look at Christianity as exclusionary: the shutting out of the ignorant and stubborn who don't know Christ. It is basically continuing what happened at the Tower of Babel: the continued fracturing of humanity and the creation of a new tower, Race, as opposed to one made of stone.

It's quite sad. It has more to do with one's views on the meaning and importance of race than anything. It can be quite difficult to use Christianity as a means to "save" someone from the pitfalls of racist ideology because, for such a person, Christianity is just the icing on the cake. They would be able to find racist ideology in any other religion.

My God! We must pray for them, and hope (for their sakes) that they aren't those who stay blind because they do not wish to see. How very, very sad. I just don't understand how anyone can feel that way about ather people created in the image of God

Orthodox6,

To my mind, "XYZ" (and all the bigotry, hatred, and evil for which it stands) and Orthodox Christianity are mutually exclusive, are on skew lines. What elements do you all think these people see as overlapping? Why on earth would a person swear allegiance to the true faith and to evil at the same time ?????????

That is what I really, really wanted to explore with you all. (I assumed that everyone here would think poorly of the concepts espoused by such people.)

What did you want to hear?? Burn these b--strds alive? Yes, they are wrong. Yes, they are in great dilusion. They are NOT overlapping any elements between their evil and Orthodoxy...they are CHOOSING evil as good and believing that the Holy Trinity is evil. They have been greatly manipulated to believe the lies they are fed. And then they go out into the web-world stating that they are Orthodox in order to convert others to their evil...to lead spiritually un-experienced Orthodox people, ESPECIALLY converts to start questioning God's truth....AND doubting Jesus Christ.

That's how satan works and he has his servants. Most of them were NEVER Orthodox. Others, who were confused, fell into their trap. Satan is always working on ways to lead people away from believing the full truth. He's always trying to collect as many souls as he can.

But, they are still creations of God and we should feel really sad for those that perish in this evil. It means that satan has collected another soul.
