Another one the "huh?" file

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

I saw that last night and thought it was a joke myself, I still do. I also think that this just goes to show that nothing is sacred. I am just awestruck at the idea that someone could claim that the Theotokos' image could appear on a tree, an office building, a tortilla, a grilled cheese sandwich.. the list goes on. What is even more amazing to me is the great mercy of God. At one time I believed these apparirions ot be "proof of God's love for us..." I am sad to say it now but when one has no faith in God, faith in anytihng else is so acceptable.

Blessed Be God who in His geat mercy has shown me the TRUE FAITH!

They showed a photo of it in the NZ Herald this morning. It looks nothing like the Theotokos (which goes without saying), but seeing as I had time on my hands I outlined the vague face like shape on it, and discovered it looks like some wide-eyed 1920s film star with bobbed hair!

Good Heavens! It's Greta Garbo on that toasted cheese sandwich! I can almost hear her saying "I vant to be provalone."
Probably would have fetched a higher price on ebay if they tried this pitch!
