Do you think that the MP will ever leave the WCC and finally declare the patristic stand against ecumenism? (Do you think it will ever happen to have again Acceptance of the Mysteries of the MP?)

I think it's more likely that the MP will leave the WCC for political reasons... like a number of local Orthodox Churches have already done. Not that I think that's necessarily a bad thing, but it's different than leaving for theological reasons. I'm praying that I'm wrong, though :)

No one has an opinion on the MP or the ROCOR?

Well, in my humble and not very meaningful opinion and economic issues not withstanding, I think it is imperative for the success of the rapproachment efforts to succeed for the good of the Church. Such actions in Christian love will enhance the Russian Churches to be what they should be at this point in time - namely, New Constantinople. It is time for the "primacy of honor' to move on to a more able see. Once this is recognized, many others issues will be resolved, I think.

Given the the wording of the either or option I cannot vote, simply because I do not know what to make of the recent developments.

As one poster has commented already, it may be the ROC choses to leave the WCC for 'political' rather than for reasons of faithfulness to Orthodox teaching on the true relation of the Orthodox to all those outside of the (True) Church.

This contributes to being unable to answer the second question........

MOSCOW PATRIARCHATE...

Post by Giorgos »

DEAR BROTHERS AND FRIENDS IN CHRIST,
The Moscow "PATRIARCHATE" can have the recognition of all the political and ecclesiastical powers of this world, can resign his participation in the WCC, can recognize the Holy Royal Martyrs, can even repudiate the "sergianism", but there are another problem, who is his founder?
Of what bishops the MP's hierarchs are heirs?
Only that in latin is known as SANATIO IN RADICE, that is recognition by THE CHURCH of his Mysteries, in ACRIBIA OR IN ECONOMY, IS THE ONLY SOLUTION AT THIS PROBLEM.
And wich is THE CHURCH THAT CAN DO THIS? I think that is ROCOR.
This is not an historical affair, a question of two or three more generations, this is a question of LEGITIMACY.
In all humbleness,
Giorgos
