Of course, you know this because you've been to Russia and prayed with her people in churches, right?
Or is this just hearsay from some people with an agenda, perhaps?
Well, maybe you go to live to Russia

"I reread Abp. Alexander's "open letter" on the ROCOR English-language website, so that it would not be surrounded by any hostile clutter. I thought it a straightforward, nonpolemical, pastoral appeal to members of his own jurisdiction. The man is an archbishop, with responsibility to God for those entrusted to his care. He has a responsibility to guard against external attempts at misleading his flock. I use the word "misleading" in the sense that ROCOR knows what it believes, and rightfully should warn its members against those who would "color", "distort", or "alter" its historical experience and theological beliefs.
Silouan, as a member of a spin-off group, is logically consistent when he rallies on behalf of his own group's members and beliefs. I think he is off-base, however, when he expresses surprise that Abp. Alexander would oppose ROCIE by openly reminding his own flock to be watchful and alert."
I agree you, it is very sensible what you say.

Dear Brother Silouan:
I am ever without answer at my questions. Perhaps you “think” ( and as we had see you “think” many), that yours advances and retreats had clearing the post. But not, there are more and more darkness in it. Or we must read between the lines?
Please,my friend, can you answer this SEVEN (7) little questions, but prior go out with the red herrings, there are not lieu for him in this.
1)I can testify that the russian clergy in the Argentine is very reluctant at the possibles approaches with Moscow. But, what if We instead of work in assist the diocesan clergy, have the bad aim of boycott him...?
2)If we have the foolish madness to introduce schismatic "priest" or "bishops", what can we attend?
3)Is perhaps enough to you to know that Bishop Alexander work as Engineer in the NASA AND IS SEARCHING HIS RETIRE, for be an autofinanced bishop and not a charge for the flock?
4)Know you that Bishop Alexander has been in a bad health situation and his chemical treatment is in the USA?
5)Do you think that a "usurper" going to live in Buenos Aires is the legitime Bishop, because he is living here?
6)Why, this attacks ad hominem, dear Silouan?
Answer, please, for our “enlightement”.
7)Or perhaps you can answer but for some other reason you do not. It's clear?
REQUESTING YOUR PRAYERS, FOR ME A SINNER.

Siluan,
I HAVE been to Russia, and prayed in her churches along with her people. I've spoken to the priests & people there. I met young people in churches (I was 16 at the time, and that more than 7 years ago) with whom I am still in contact, and they still attend church & work for charity and do great things that I wholeheartedly wish I could do as well.
My family, my father in particular, has been going to Russia about twice a year since 1889. His first impressions were many closed churches (some open as museums, but rarely any for services), and a very tense people. His photographs from his first trip reflected that. Every year since then, there have been more open churches, more people openly declaring their faith, or discovering it for the first time... True, for a time it was a fad to go & be baptized, just becuase everyone else is doing it. That is no longer the case. People who get baptised are educated by their priests before hand (not 100% of the time, admitedly, but for the most part), and those people tend to attend church at least on a semi-regular basis. You now rarely find a church that is closed at all times, or is a place of business rather than a place of worship. Priests are constantly on the go, many juggling several parishes at a time. The seminaries are full, as well as the theological acadamies, and the church music schools, and the icon studios.
It is true, many people cling to their athiest ways, I have relatives like that, in their 70s, former members of the communist party who lived their entire life under the yoke, and have little intrest in religion. Their children and grandchildren, however, ask my dad (who is a priest) questions when he visits them regarding theology. They are curious, & God-willing someday will come back to the church. For the time being it is enough to rejoice that they have intrest, and do not scoff at it.
It is no longer considered "babushka's religion," now it is "our religion."
My parents' photos of their trips to Russia reflect the growth of religion. Most telling are the photos of the construction workers at Cathedral of Christ the Savior, whom some claim was built strictly on mafia money to fool the west... These photos show 15 men who had traveled on their own time & money from Irkutsk to labor for free.
I would go on expounding, but I must leave my office now & go home for dinner... I must not be late for church choir rehersal (again).
Anyway, my friend, my advise is go to Russia, you would not regret it.
Dear Giorgos:
1) Yourself knows what clergy of ROCOR thinks here. You don't need my opinion, and I think that they can defend alone, without help of anybody. Because they will know that they should make.
2) I don't believe that those clergies or bishop are "usurpers", they have their jurisdiction and this is ROCiE.
3) and 4) Bishop Alexander's personal reasons not are my incumbency , but I consider logical the problem of their work and their health, but it is also good that a bishop is in his Diocese. A Bishop should not be a "charge economic" to anybody.
5) Exist bishops of several jurisdictions "cohabiting" in South America, ROCiE is another more Jurisdiction . And I reiterate Vladyka Antoniy is not "usurper", O do you think that Kyr Tarasios (EP), Metropolita Platon(MP) or Vladyka Jeremias(EP-UOC) are usurpers? they are too bishops of South America (Their Titles is it).
6) This forum is a debate place, it doesn't "to Attack"; consequently I don't attack anybody.
7) I think that I have been clear, maybe you see something but.
It seems that you are a faithful fervent ROCOR, but you are also is in the EP, but both jurisdictions are not in communion.
I think with respect that you deserve. Will you be the new class of ROCOR´s faithful, those that also accepted to the new calendarists?
