A parable

Post by Miriam »

A couple go to their old priest for marriage couselling.

Both begin to speak at once, each trying to tell his/her side of the problem.

The old priest holds up his hand and says one at a time please....you go first husband. Well the husband tells his side of the story and relates his grievances.

The old priest shakes his head and says....Yes, I can see your side. You are right!

Then the priest turns to the wife for her side of the story. She too takes her time in the telling and in the grievances.

The old priest shakes his head and says....Yes, I can see your side. You are right!

The young deacon who was attending the priest, protests ....but Father, how can this be? They both can't be right! If the husband is right then the wife is wrong and if the wife is right then the husband must be wrong!

The old priest looks at the deacon smiles and replies, Yes, Father you are right!

Perhaps there is a lesson for us in this....Mira
