I am nothing.
I am nothing

Symeon,
Your statements are very truthful and are very forthcoming. We, the paishoners f the church of Saint Basil of Kineshma in the Colorado Springs are have these sentiments at heart as well. These were the reasons that until such time as the Synod makes its final ruling as to the future of the Synod and its Bishops and priests we thought it wisest and best to place ourselves drectly under its care.
These thungs that we did were not out of hatred or revilement, but only for the safety of ourselves as we love in the Diocese that Bishop Gregory also lives in and thought it safest to make a stand with the Synod to show where true allegiance should be in the Church.
In the beginning it was seen by many as an act of seperation, but in fact the truth of the matter is that it was an act of submission to the Synod. I thank you for sharing with us your letter and for stating the thoughts you have in a sincere and precise manner.
With my prayers,
Juvenaly

GOC??
Symeon,
why would the GOC...I presume the Lamians, want to take Bp. Gregory? He has already been a source of disturbance for them, and he left them uncanonically without a blessing. See below:
In the January- February issue of Orthodoxon Paterikon Salpisma, at the bottom of page 13 is the following announcement:
ANNOUNCEMENT
We wish it to be made known to the faithful flock of the G.O.C. of Greece and abroad, especially to those residing in the U.S.A., that Archimandrite Gregory George of Dormition Skete in Colorado, after acts of misconduct towards his Ecclesiastical Authority, and having voluntarily chosen his withdrawal from the bosom of our Church, does not belong to the ranks of our clergy anymore, and therefore you are paternally requested to sever all spiritual communion with him.

Code: Select all
This was forwarded to me a few years ago by a Lamian priest.
I was told by then, Fr. Gregory, that ROAC requested a release but they heard no response from the Lamians for 3 months. Vl. Valentine decided that 3 months was enough. and went ahead with things. I wondered why? Why not take 6 months, a year, 2 years, and investigate a person's background throughly -- especially, if you're going to consecrate someone!
Hmmm..? This is all very puzzleing. I pray things work out peacefully for you and your fellow parishoners.
in Christ,
