Post by Giorgos »

DEAR FRIENDS,
PLEASE PRAY FOR MY FRIEND, DEMETRIOS MYGDALIS, AND FOR HIS DIACONAL ORDINATION THIS SUNDAY, JULY 11 2004, IN THE ST. CONSTANTIN AND HELLEN CHURCH (BERISSO CITY).
THE ORDINATION IS PERFORMED BY THE ARCHBISHOP TARASIOS OF CONSTANTINOPLE PATRIARCHATE.
AXIOS, AXIOS, AXIOS!!,
IN THE LOVE OF CHRIST, OUR LORD AND REDEMPTOR,
GIORGOS

¡SEÑOR JESUCRISTO TEN PIEDAD DE MÍ PECADOR!

Many Years to you and your friend. But I don't think anyone would pray for him. People might start judging him of Gracelessness because he is under the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Romiosini,

I am sure that I am not alone in praying for schismatics, heretics, heterodox, heathens, pagans, atheists, agnostics, etc. I am sure many people will pray for his regardless of what they think of the EP. They just will not have him commemorated at the Divine Liturgy. I pray for my friends, my family, my enemies and of course, everyone here.

I think you are being unfair. There is a large different between judging generally (which is what is done for the most part on this forum) and judging someone individually. Saying that a group does not have grace, and condemning someone are two different things. Just because I say, for example, that the Antiochians are really wrong to commune non-Chalcedonians, that does not mean that I am constantly judging individual Antiochians. As a matter of fact, I try to not judge individuals as much as I can (though I often fail). As Nicholas said, I pray for many, regardless of what jurisdiction they might be in. And for many, I simply pray that the Lord's will be done regarding them, as I really have no clue what the Lord's will is, sinner that I am. I will certainly be praying for this individual mentioned.

Of course, it is quite understandable. But many fanatics would say, that all priests that belong to Ecumenist jurisdiction are defined Graceless. It's a sad thing though, but yes, I know it's sounds unfair, but that is how the people (who are claimed "Graceless") feel when they hear such things.

Well said, Justin Kissel.
Your thoughts mirror mine exactly and I am of what is probably considered the opposite end of this spectrum by many here.
