Ania,
Could you explain why this is? I've never seen this in the Greek church, which is not to say it doesn't happen...

I will be looking forward to Nicholas's response. I really don't
understand why this would take place in any jurisdiction,
let alone, especially the ROAC. It's not like they have
any bishops other than Archbishop Gregory in America.
Let alone, it would make sense that since he is Bishop
of Denver and Colorado, your parish would be under
Archbishop Gregory. Why would one wish their bishop to
be in Russia, while one is in their own state? Perhaps
Juvenaly, or someone else within the ROAC can respond?
I'd rather hear from someone from the ROAC, than someone
not...That is interesting about the ROCOR as well. I really
wasn't aware that this took place.

Colorado was switched to the western diocese just before Fr Gregory left ROCOR. Houston was switched to NY about the same time. I don't think any other Texas parishs existed.

Really? That's interesting. The Chicago diocese is much more pro-MP, than the NY diocese. No-brainer.
Deacon Nicholas,
I was hoping for a reply to my previous message and hope
that perhaps you might respond to it now. I thought about
it more, and wonder, why wouldn't your parish's perogative
to be under Archbishop Gregory? He's in Colorado, in
Denver, and it makes so much sense.... Shouldn't your
parish have a Bishop located in America, instead of Russia?
I am sure you have an explanation, and await your reply.
P.S. We just had a visit from our Auxillary Bishop, Bishop
Benjamin. What a blessing that was!

Axios! Axios! Axios!
His Grace, Bishop Gregory of Denver and Colorado, has been elevated, on the Feast of Pentecost Sunday, to the title of His Eminence, Archbishop Gregory of Denver and Colorado! May God grant him many years!
