NEW AROC PARISH WEBSITE UP

Post by Suaidan »

The website for the Parish of St John the Russian, a parish of the Autonomous Russian Orthodox Church, is now up and running! It can be seen at

http://www.stjohntherussian.com

Feel free to let the Fathers know of any problems with the site.

Thanks,
Joseph Suaiden

Beautiful job Joseph! Any chance you can make it fit in the standard 800x600 window? My stats still show this is what over 50% of the people view the web with.

Dear Joe,

I concur with Nicholas on the well designed site. Very well done.

I just have a few questions for you.

  1. Father Michael Fresco: I was under the impression that eh was no longer a part of the ROAC/AROC. Has this changed or am I just mistaken and he actually is apart of the church?

  2. Mother Sophia: I was not aware that there was a nun living near the parish. What is her history. Could you also give us some history on the fathers at the new parishes that were established?

Again, thank you for the news and the great website wit hte great pictures and information.

May God bless you for your efforts:

Nah, it doesn't need to fit in the 800 X 600 windows. That would make it look squashed. The current size is pretty much becoming internet standard :)

Disclaimer: Many older posts were made before my baptism and thus may not reflect an Orthodox point of view.
Please do not message me with questions about the forum or moderation requests. Jonathan Gress (jgress) will be able to assist you.
Please note that I do not subscribe to "Old Calendar Ecumenism" and believe that only the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos is the canonical GOC of Greece. I do believe, however, that we can break down barriers and misunderstandings through prayer and discussion on forums such as this one.

He is still part of the AROC, as the Metropolitan has not removed him. We spoke to him when the Metropolitan was on his way, he wished him the best. As I understand it, Fr. John Claypool speaks to him and can answer.

Mother Sophia is Fr Victor's mother and was tondured into Monasticism after the death of his father, I am fairly sure.
