Saintly Intercession

Post by PFC Nektarios »

Looking back on my days in the Unia, I remember a bunch of people having devotions to stricktly Orthodox Saints, such as St. Nektarios, St. Theophan, St. Alexis Toth! Since all these saints were Orthodox would they and can they give heavenly intercessions to people in heresy and schism? I.E. Roman Catholics, Uniates, Protestants, ect...

I really don't know Nektarios, I would like to think so, perhaps only in order to bring them to the Church, but in the end I would have to chalk it up into the realm of "man, I got my own salvation to worry about". :)

This is just opinion, but when I think of the people who have been brought into the Church by living saints (in the Church militant), I don't have a hard time imagining that those saints who are in the Church triumphant also pray to God for our salvation while we are still wandering outside of the Church. :)
