Didn't learn it well enough, sadly.

Luke 23:34: 'Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.'

I am very sorry for the childishness and rudeness of my posts on this thread. I really don't want to hurt anyone. I would be thankful if the moderator deleted my posts here.

Forgive me,

savva (Nicholas)

OrthodoxLearner,

I say you're confused, because you express ideas which while in themselves are one thing, jumbled together are incomprehensible - there is no unifying rational to them.

On one hand, you have nothing good to say about ecumenism (on that, I happen to agree with you.) On it's own, that's fine (debatable in some people's eyes, but it's a position.) However, then you defend your association with the Antiochian Archdiocese, which is perhaps (both of itself, and in terms of it's "Mother Church" back in the old world) one of the worst offenders as far as the heresy of ecumenism is concerned. Virtually all Orthodox "traditionalists" cite the implicit unia between the Antiochian Patriarchate and the "Non-Chalcedonians" as being one key reason why they can have nothing to do with "world wide Orthodoxy" (as in that communion which most encyclopedias and popular news periodicals will tell you is the "Eastern Orthodox Church") - yet you, while holding so many strong "traditionalist" views, are casting your lot in the "belly of the beast" as it were!

The above is just one example of the discrepenices in your outlook which I've observed in your posts. Since I really don't believe you're maliciously given to intentional "double speak" and "double think", I express the opinion that you're very confused.

Seraphim

The ROCOR priest telling a parishioner to avoid a OCA parish may be influenced by a number of events over the years including a recent letter from the OCA Metropolitan to a Senator, taking him to task for supporting ROCOR over the seizure of the Hebron monastery by the MP. The Metropolitan's brotherly comments on ROCOR would suffer no communion between them!
