OK this has pushed me over the edge. If you monophysites feel this way then I renouce supporitng you and affirm that you must all be baptised. You are cleraly not ORTHODOX!

Neither are you, as I recall.

I am sincerely and utterly disheartened by the fact that the OCA allowed for this service to take place in St. Nicholas Cathedral.

Disheartened? How do you think I felt with all those icons glaring at me?

Spooky! :o

Anastasios, Mor, et al,

It seems you are not respecting what I think are sincere questions on the part of Nektarios....please think about this.

Dear OOD--

We are all having a bit of fun and instead of mockery I would call it satire. Even the ECafe's owner Nicholas is well aware of what happened as he split the thread for us and was on AIM with me, Mor Ephrem, and Bogo.

The whole point I think of this shenanigan was to point out to Mr OL that if he is going to ask questions he should take the time to get his facts straight, or if he is lacking in such facts, ask questions in a respectful tone, and if he asks questions and they are answered three times in a thread but he doesn't want to read the answers because they are too long, that that is his fault becuase we all at times tried to answer his posts respectfully and the result was him yelling at us in all-caps!

But in case things would continue over the edge, I will cease from the joke now.

PS--I don't in anyway dislike OrthodoxLearner(Nektarios) but Mor Ephrem and I can only answer his questions so many times before giving up in frustration when he doesn't read our answers.

Anastasios,

Yes, I just re-read what I wrote and must ahve posted just before you.

I didn't mean to sound harsh or anything, and I am not saying any of this in the capacity of "moderator" really - I would say this I think at any time...

I just think sometimes posts don't convey the real mood of a person, and also that sometimes when a person takes an issue seriously and that issue is made into comedy fodder, it can upset a person.

Thats all.

In all seriousness, I thought the funniest thing, and this is just personal, was "Met." Phil picture. I laugh when I see that picture because it reminds me when my son was looking through this new-calendarist childrens book which explains the Divine Liturgy (or for them, what's left of it). In one of the pictures, was this beardless priest with a Latin style haircut giving communion. I explained to my 2yr-old, this is a priest giving communion. He answers in his 2yr old vocabulary, "no, that's a altar boy". Out of the mouth of babes.
