We just found out this morning that my wife's (Alicia) mother (Helen) passed away late yesterday. This was quite "out of the blue", and the doctors are still trying to discern the cause of death.
The saying "when it rains, it pours" applies to our situation. Recently I underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumour, and am looking forward to a month of localized radiation therapy. Fortunately, the prognosis for recovery for this is very high, so while the whole ordeal is stressful, I have a great deal of optimism. Unfortunately, my illness has been hard on my wife, and this recent loss is only making things more difficult for her.
I ask your prayers for all involved, particularly for my wife (Alicia) and her recently deceased mother (Helen.)
